Position: Field Research Coordinator (Contractual)

Team: Management Consulting

Relevant Experience Required: Minimum 2 years 

Deadline: April 18, 2024



Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute data collection activities for consulting projects according to predefined protocols and methodologies, ensuring adherence to research standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Collect data using various methods such as interviews, surveys, observations, and sampling techniques, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data.
  • Should have experienced focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informant interviews (KIIs)
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings from FGDs and KIIs, including key insights and recommendations for action.
  • Collaborate with team members, including researchers, project managers, and other stakeholders, to achieve project goals and objectives, contributing actively to team discussions and problem-solving.
  • Manage field sites effectively, including obtaining necessary permissions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the safety and security of team members and equipment.
  • Interact with participants and stakeholders professionally and respectfully, building rapport, explaining research objectives, and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the validity and reliability of collected data, including conducting data quality checks and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive and detailed records of fieldwork activities, expenses, data collection processes, and any relevant observations, and contribute to the preparation of research reports and presentations.
  • Participate in training sessions and capacity-building activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to field research methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  •  Previous experience in field research is preferred 
  • Previous experience collaborating with consulting firms on data collection analysis 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use tablets, smartphones, and data collection software and tools 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  •  Proficiency in digital data collection techniques and tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and field conditions.

Note: References are mandatory to demonstrate previous experience in data collection and analysis. This will be cross-checked upon final selection. 

Salary: Market Competitive & Negotiable (Depending on Qualification & Experience)
