Bijon Islam Delivers Keynote Presentation on Impact Investment Landscape at SNV Seminar

SNV in Bangladesh, in partnership with the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted a seminar on Inclusive Business on September 23, 2020 evening in Dhaka to facilitate a knowledge-based discussion and collaboration among the business entities on Inclusive Business and present awards to the private entities who have taken part in the competition of bringing new IB ideas for the RMG sector.

Bijon Islam, CEO of LightCastle Partners, gave a keynote presentation titled “Investment for Impact,” where he highlighted the importance of impact investments in Bangladesh, the challenges investors and entrepreneurs have to overcome in the ecosystem, and the potential way forward for the impact investment ecosystem of Bangladesh.

A prestigious panel of chief guests joined the session, which included Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, the Hon’ble Mayor, Dhaka South City Corporation, H.E. Harry Verweij, Ambassador, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, and Mr. Sheikh Fazle Fahim, President, FBCCI, attended the program as a special guest.
