In collaboration with BD Venture and BDOSN (Bangladesh Open Source Network); LightCastle Partners organized the first ever crowdfunding event “Crowd Funding: New source of capital for Entrepreneurs” in Rangpur on Tuesday, 30 April 2019. The event was conducted to promote the crowdfunding platform of BD Venture, www.fundsme.com.bd, an initiative supported by Business Finance for the Poor Bangladesh (BFP-B).
The event was held in the Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), 70 potential entrepreneurs attended the event. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Shawkat Hossain, MD, BD Venture, the event had a session on Alternative Investments in Bangladesh presented by Mr. Bijon Islam, CEO, LightCastle Partners and a session on Crowd Funding by Mr. Mazhar-E-Hossain, Investment Manager, BD Venture.
The event was graced by the Senior Vice Resident of RCCI Mr. Mojtoba Hossain Ripon and Senior Vice President of Rangpur Metropolitan Chamber Mr. Golam Zakaria Pintu.
A total of 12 business entrepreneurs pitched their business model to the investors and answered the questions presented by the jury panel and guests.
