LightCastle Launches ' Accelerator Program in Search of Aquaculture Entrepreneurs ' for WorldFish Bangladesh in Rajshahi

LightCastle Partners in partnership with WorldFish Bangladesh successfully hosted the “Accelerator Program in search of Aquaculture Entrepreneurs”. The 2-day residential training event took place on November 11 and 12, 2020. The top 26 aquaculture entrepreneurs who were previously picked from the Bootcamp, were invited to partake in this accelerator program. Participants came from distant villages in Pabna, Naogaon, Natore, and Rajshahi to take part in the program, held at BLC, Rajshahi.

The entrepreneurs were selected from an initial batch of 52, based on their business, understanding of the market system, basis of investment prospects, and market linkage potential. The program’s prime objective was to provide these budding entrepreneurs with business development support and investment readiness training. The sessions were conducted by senior project managers of LightCastle Partners and senior personnel from WorldFish Bangladesh, who covered both the business end and the technical fish-farming aspects of aquaculture enterprises.

The detailed lectures helped in preparing the 26 shortlisted entrepreneurs for the upcoming Invest-readiness day and Demo day set to take place in December of this year, in Rajshahi.
