From 27-28 February, 12 partner organizations of the “Oporajita: Collective Impact on the Future of Work in Bangladesh” project funded by the H&M Foundation, gathered at Sarah Resort, Gazipur for an in-person residential event.

The partners took part in an in-depth agenda, working on co-developing shared values for Oporajita, operationalizing action plans for previously identified synergies, and revisiting the Shared Measurement System indicators for the project.

With the ongoing shift in the apparel sector, the project aims to prepare women apparel workers in Bangladesh for a future where the apparel industry is defined by automation and digitalization to safeguard their livelihoods. The intensive sessions with fun exercises made room for understanding among the partners about their work and facilitated scoping for potential collaboration.

Zahedul Amin, Director of Finance, Strategy, and Consulting Services, Shubham Roy, Business Consultant, and Radi Shafiq, Portfolio Manager, took part in the convening from LightCastle Partners.

As part of the two-year-long programme, the LightCastle team will be conducting extensive scenario mapping, assessing policy imperatives, arranging a dialogue series, facilitating partnerships with cross-sector stakeholders, and hosting national-level events with innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers.
