LightCastle Partners Presents Findings at Bangladeshi Bakery Sector Event Hosted by the USDA

In an insightful event titled “Rising to Perfection: The Flourishing Bangladeshi Bakery and its Key Ingredients”, hosted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), LightCastle Partners was recently invited to share some of the findings of the study. The event, which unfolded yesterday, featured prominent figures in the industry and highlighted key insights into Bangladesh’s bakery sector.

On behalf of LightCastle, Zahedul Amin, Co-founder and Director of Strategy and Consulting Services, shared some key findings from the comprehensive study conducted by LightCastle in the past few months. Commissioned by the USDA, the study entailed a thorough value chain assessment of bakery ingredients and products in Bangladesh. 

Zahedul Amin spoke on the prospects within this key sector, backed by the growing demand of the youth population. He earmarked the challenges which lie ahead, given the rising uncertainties caused by the geo-political climate. The outcomes of the research hold significant promise. Recommendations drawn from the study helped identify major market players within the bakery sector and forecasted the industry’s future growth, including its potential for U.S. exports. Moreover, the insights will empower U.S. government entities to design interventions that streamline trade by addressing systemic challenges.
