Bijon Islam Attends Bangladesh Treasury and Trade Solutions Roundtable Discussion Organized by Citi

Bijon Islam, CEO of LightCastle Partners, recently attended a roundtable discussion titled, “2023 Bangladesh Treasury and Trade Solutions Roundtable,” organized by the Citigroup on Mar 16, 2023, at The Westin Hotel, Dhaka. 

The discussion focused on some of the most urgent issues in recent times concerning technological transitions businesses and governments are facing today. Additionally, the evolving regulatory environment demands greater adaptability to ensure strong compliance, and effective means of successfully navigating through such complex disruptions and transformations in both the local and the global landscape. 

Attending as one of the key panelists, Bijon Islam spoke about the latest technological developments emerging globally and how well Bangladesh is responding to them, the implications of Smart Bangladesh with priorities such as the digitalization journey for banks and the overall financial sector in general, the global geopolitical uncertainties in the horizon, and the impact on the key sectors of Bangladesh. 

Moreover, Bijon emphasized the need for sustainable supply chain diversification as businesses have to contend with new realities, such as global trade wars, and much more.
