Bijon Islam Conducts Cross-Country Training on Business & Market Sizing for Business Incubators & Education Institutes in Pakistan

Bijon Islam, CEO, LightCastle Partners recently conducted a training session on ‘Business & Market Sizing’ for top business incubators & education institutes based in Pakistan. The virtual training was organized by The Higher Education Commission (HEC) under Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP), on 31st October 2022 in collaboration with Invest2Innovate (i2i), a Pakistan-based leading organization that supports startup communities.

Besides, directors and managers of 17 Business Incubation Centers (BICs) from higher education institutions of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) also joined the session. Bijon emphatically discussed the importance of market sizing, which estimates the potential of a market by incorporating market research. Such a tool is especially useful to introduce a new product/service or evaluate business opportunities within a new market. Additionally, Bijon spoke about the opportunities which lie in the field of academia and potential academia-industry linkages, the importance of the culture of experimentation and entrepreneurship which businesses should look to explore further.
