Bijon Islam Conducts a Session on Business Feasibility and Investment Readiness at the Youth Co:Lab Springboard Programme

Bijon Islam, CEO and Co-founder of LightCastle Partners, attended the sixth edition of the Youth Co:Lab Springboard Programme on February 12, 2024, as the speaker for the session titled, ‘Prove Your Business Feasibility and Investment Readiness’, held at the Innovation Hub of United International University (UIU). 

The Youth Co:Lab programme was jointly established in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Citi Foundation to empower youth leadership and entrepreneurship across Asia-Pacific.

The sixth edition of the Youth Co:Lab Springboard Programme, held on February 11 and February 12, provided mentorship and networking opportunities to young Bangladeshi social entrepreneurs looking to address the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovation. This iteration of the programme began with a call for applications from aspiring young social entrepreneurs. Out of hundreds of applicants, nine local startups were chosen to participate in a two-day boot camp which was held in collaboration with Startup Bangladesh Ltd.

Bijon Islam was invited as a speaker on the 2nd day of the boot camp. He shared his experience and valuable insights on value-driven investments and finance to help nurture the multidimensional skill sets of youth entrepreneurs.

He led a session for youth entrepreneurs to guide them on preparing an effective pitch deck needed to secure investment funds while also covering topics spanning identifying potential investors, pre and post-investment communication strategies, and an overview of the financing toolkit.
