Larive-LightCastle to Assess Prospects of Renewable Energy in Bangladesh Funded by the Dutch Embassy

Larive-LightCastle Partners have recently signed a contract with The Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands (EKN) in Bangladesh to conduct a detailed assessment on the status quo and prospects of renewable energy in Bangladesh, particularly focusing on the solar value chain.

As part of the study, Larive-LightCastle Partners will –

  • Identify the renewable energy aspirations of the country,
  • Gauge the intervention areas in the solar energy sector, and
  • Delve into the underlying challenges of the sector at the systemic level.

The study will entail interviews of key-value actors, including but not limited to engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors, manufacturing sector leaders, development agencies, academics, government agencies, and financial institutions.

The landscaping study will assist EKN in determining underlying areas of intervention areas as part of the donor’s ‘aid to trade’ initiative. The public-private partnership will facilitate the inclusive growth of the renewable energy sector and reduce dependency on fossil fuel-based alternatives.
