Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (SFSA) and LightCastle Hosts Networking Dinner to Bolster the Agritech Startups Ecosystem in Bangladesh

LightCastle Partners, in collaboration with the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture Bangladesh, organized an exclusive networking dinner for an exclusive group of agri-tech startups with high-impact potential in the agriculture sector. The dinner was hosted on the 3rd of October 2022 in Gulshan, Dhaka.

“Bangladesh agri-space is full of avid opportunities, and SFSA Bangladesh is committed to creating sustainable positive change for the smallholder farmers”, said Mr. Robert Berlin, Head of Agriservices, Digital Delivery & Country Programs, SFSA, who was present during the occasion and showed his high interest in the local agri-tech innovations and business models in the country.

Mr. Hasan Arif, Head of Investments Portfolio of Startup Bangladesh Limited, the country’s largest gov-backed VC Fund, also shared his enthusiasm for supporting the local startups in the agri-space.

Representatives from multiple agri-tech startups were at the dinner, including iFarmer, iPage, InsureCow, Deshifarmer, Wegro, Greeniculture, Khaas Foods, Premium Fruits, Agrigate Network Limited, and Direct Fresh, among many others.

With the support of LightCastle Partners, SFSA Bangladesh aims to increase sales and optimize the agri-supply value chain with end-to-end digital solutions using the Soluta engine in collaboration with the local agri-tech startups and stakeholders.
