LightCastle signs Agreement with CARE to Investigate the Impacts of the Pandemic on Female Workers in the RMG Sector

LightCastle Partners has recently signed a contract with CARE Bangladesh for the research project titled, “Building Resilience of Women Garment Factory Workers in Bangladesh”. LightCastle will investigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the female workforce operating in the RMG sector.

LightCastle Partners will be conducting surveys, in-depth interviews, and FGDs to better understand the various stakeholders’ perspectives within the RMG sector. The project would put a special emphasis on the women’s livelihoods, health and safety, psychological and social well-being, position in the family, and social status, in the short to medium term. The assignment is expected to end by the end of this year and will be covering apparel production clusters in Savar, Ashulia, Gazipur, and Narayanganj.
