Omar Farhan Khan Acted as Final Round Judge at “Checkmate: A Battle of Strategic Minds”

Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology’s “AUST Career Development Club” recently hosted the Grand Finale of “Checkmate: A Battle of Strategic Minds,” a business case competition presented by Ha-Meem Group.

An impressive number of registrations – 313, to be precise – flooded in for the competition, resulting in 32 teams making it to the first round. From there, the top eight teams advanced to the thrilling finale, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and nationwide participation.

Omar Farhan Khan, Senior Business Consultant & Project Manager at LightCastle Partners, was invited to the event as a final round judge alongside Md. Imranur Rahman, Head of MyGP Product, Grameenphone. Their expert evaluations helped determine the finest strategists in the competition.

The finalist teams competed fiercely, pitting their skills against each other to present the most innovative ideas and solutions. While there must be winners and losers in a competition, all teams were able to deliver captivating group presentations, carefully crafting their ideas into mesmerizing narratives that left an indelible mark.

Ultimately, BRAC University’s team ‘Suffering from Suffering’ took the trophy home. The first and second runners-up positions were held by Team ‘Chess’ from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and Team ‘The Optimal Strategies’ from North South University, respectively.
