A Journey Through 2023: LightCastle Partners’ Year in Review

2023 was a year of tremendous growth, meaningful partnerships, and expanded impact for LightCastle Partners. To align our team for another year of excellence, we kicked off the year with an enriching strategy retreat on the serene shores of Cox’s Bazar.

Throughout 2023, we worked closely with several partners in the public, private, and development sectors to drive change. Some of our key activities include signing agreements with the Department of Fisheries, hosting an impact tour to strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and the Netherlands, partaking in H&M’s Global Change Award Week in Sweden, showcasing opportunities in Bangladesh at the Larive Business Forum, etc.

In collaboration with partners like the World Food Programme, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, and Gates Foundation, our work impacted digital financial inclusivity. 2023 also saw us immensely support the startup ecosystem, serving as the knowledge partner for the inaugural Bangladesh Startup Summit. We advanced entrepreneurship through the Biniyog Briddhi program by hosting workshops to boost investment readiness, going on excursions to explore the ecosystem, and forming partnerships with CMED and ATEC to catalyze the space.

We expanded our digital agriculture solution, Soluta AG, from 6 to 8 countries globally. To spotlight Bangladesh’s thriving startup ecosystem, we launched ExitStack with Anchorless Bangladesh – a platform showcasing startup news and analysis. We also partnered up with companies to launch Invest Bangladesh, dedicated to facilitating foreign direct investment through advocacy, data access, and streamlining market entry.

Our reports and podcasts sparked dialogues on future-proofing vital sectors. We published over 20 reports spanning startup investments, private sector growth, financial inclusion, climate action, the future of RMG, and more.

With a growing team of 60+ talented professionals, LightCastle Partners celebrated 10+ years of growth and impact with our LightCastle family.
