LightCastle Partners Signs Agreement with Practical Action to Promote Adoption of Clean Cooking Technologies

LightCastle Partners has recently signed a contract with Practical Action for the project titled, “Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for Higher Tier Clean Cooking”.

LightCastle will conduct an exhaustive assessment of the overall market and value chain of electric cooking appliances. This investigation is being conducted as part of the HTCC project, a joint program implemented by Practical Action and SNV Netherlands Development Organization with support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

LightCastle will provide a comprehensive analysis of the Modern Energy Cooking Appliances/e-cooking-HTCC market system, as well as develop an in-depth analysis of the value chain. The project envisions identifying key market actors, barriers, and drivers for e-cooking appliances, the scope of entrepreneurship opportunities, and greater women participation.

In addition, LightCastle plans to investigate avenues in green financing and provide insights to promote the adoption of clean cooking technologies and enhance financial inclusion throughout the value chain of electric cookers. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2023.
